    Youth eParticipation Projects

    In the framework of the research and innovation project EUth, the European Youth and Counselling Agency (ERYICA), has launched a Call for Youth eParticipation Projects!
    The idea is to support 10 project proposals with 10.000 € each to implement youth eParticipation projects using the digital toolbox “OPIN”.

    Projects should build a bridge between young people and decision-makers with the help of “OPIN”. There are very diverse possibilities and options to initiate eParticipation projects with both online and offline components.
    For instance: a local council acquires land to create a recreational space for young people. Instead of deciding behind closed doors, the council initiates a participation process to involve young people in the idea collection and decision-making processes. “OPIN”s tools “idea collection” and “mobile polling” would facilitate this. A different example could be a youth organisation with a large network of members, who want to prepare a position paper or a working plan. “OPIN”s feature “collaborative text work” would render it possible that members from different areas can work together on the same platform and vote on each paragraph.

    Eligible applicants should be
    – legally established youth (work) organisations, non-governmental organisations targeting young people or public administration of any size and level, registered and working in one of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe, Belarus or Kosovo (under the UN Resolution 1244/99). The organisations have to be non-profit.

    Eligible projects should
    – involve young people in a decision-making process;
    – target young people between 15 and 30 years old;
    – combine online and offline participation;
    – use one or more functionalities of the OPIN platform;
    – be technically feasible with the OPIN software.
    Double funding is not allowed. Proposed projects receiving or planning to receive funding from other EU sources are not eligible under this call.

    Each applicant can only submit one proposal.

    Applicants are advised to request a feasibility check by 31 October 2016 by here, stating the technical requirements of your eParticipation project.

    This will ensure that their project is technically compatible with the OPIN toolbox.

    Applications should be in English and submitted electronically by 31 December 2016, 12:00 CET.
