    Traineeship at ECDC

    The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) organises traineeship once a year, each for a period of five to nine months. ECDC is an EU agency which aims to strengthen Europe’s defences against infectious diseases.

    In 2024 the programme is offering traineeship opportunities in the professional areas listed here.

    Applicants may submit one application only. 

     

    Eligibility criteria

    • Nationals of the EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway;
    • Have completed their studies and been awarded a full university degree by the closing date for applications;
    • Have a very good command of English; knowledge of additional EU languages is an asset.
    • Candidates cannot have already benefited or benefit from any kind of traineeship or employment (formal or informal, paid or unpaid) within a European institution, agency or body, or delegation.

    Trainees are expected to start the programme between February and April 2024.

     

    Grant

    The Centre pays a monthly grant (2 009.09 EUR as for 2023) and pays a travel allowance.
