    Service Civique

    The « Service Civique », the French National Civil Service, offers projects lasting between 6 and 12 months worldwide. The weekly commitment is between 24 and 35 hours and makes the Civil Service compatible with study or part time work.

    The projects take place in public and private non-profit bodies working on solidarity, health, culture and leisure, environment, humanitarian action, emergency response.

    Who can apply

    • Young people between 16-25 years old (for people with certified disability the maximum age is 30 years old)
    • Citizens of a country within the EU or the EEA (Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein)
    • Citizens of non-European countries, who have been resident in France for at least 1 year and hold a valid residence permit

    Funding

    The volunteers receive a minimum monthly allowance between EUR 500-600. Health insurance is covered by the French Government.
