The Kofi Annan NextGen Democracy Prize acknowledges exceptional young activists engaged in the defence and promotion of democracy.

Who can be nominated?

Nominees must be aged between 18 and 30, from any nationality, gender, or occupation.

Nominations must come from an organisation.

Nominations must include all of the following:

• Completed Submission Form
• A Cover Letter of support (max 500 words)
• Short video testimony from the nominee (2 minutes max, can be shot on a smartphone).

Prizes

A cash prize of USD 10,000, full coverage of travel and accommodation expenses for the Athens Democracy Forum. Recipients will have to host a panel session on youth and democracy at the following year’s Forum.
