    Jean Monnet Network on External Policy

    Thematic networks in Higher Education have as primary objective to collect, share and discuss among the partners research findings, content of courses and experiences. Each network will establish a tool allowing the partners to share their academic works and run peer review exercises.

    In 2024 the Networks on external policy are:

    – Jean Monnet Network on external policy: EU-Latin America

    – Jean Monnet Network on external policy : EU-Africa

    Who can apply 

    -For Jean Monnet Network on external policy: EU-Latin America

    Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) established in EU Member States and

    third Country Associated with the Erasmus+ Programme who hold a valid ECHE certificate, or in the following third countries not associated to the Eramus+ Programme: Latin America countries; Caribbean countries who may also participate, but not as coordinator.

    -For Jean Monnet Network on external policy : EU-Africa

    Higher Education Institutions (HEI) established in EU Member States and third country associated with the Erasmus+ Programme who hold a valid ECHE certificate ; or Higher Education Institution (HEI) established in the following third countries not associated to the Programme: Sub Saharan Africa countries; Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia (Region 3) may also participate.

    Consortium composition 

    -For Jean Monnet Network on external policy: EU-Latin America

    At least 12 applicants which complies with the following conditions:

    • minimum 5 entities from 5 different countries in Region Latin America (region 10);
    • The coordinator has to be established in a EU Member States or a third country associated with the Erasmus+ Programme. 

    -For Jean Monnet Network on external policy : EU-Africa

    At least 10 applicants which complies with the following conditions:

    • minimum 5 entities from 5 different countries in Region Sub Saharan Africa (region 9);
    • The coordinator has to be established in a EU Member State or third Country Associated to the Programme.

    Duration of the project

    Projects should last 36 months

    Funding

    Maximum EU contribution per network on external policy issues is EUR 1 200 000
