    Erasmus+Sport: Not-for-profit

    This is an EU funding for organisations or public bodies to organise major Europe-wide sports events, involving partners or sportspeople from participating countries, promoting volunteering in sport, social inclusion through sport; gender equality in sport, health-enhancing physical activity.

    This Action provides financial support for

    – the organisation of European-wide sport events organised in one of the EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme or for the organisation of European local events in several EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme. 

    The expected results of these events are:

    – increased awareness as regards the role of sport in promoting social inclusion, equal opportunities and health-enhancing physical activity;

    – increased participation in sport, physical activity and voluntary activity.

     

    Eligible activities

    – preparation of the event;

    – organisation of educational activities for athletes, coaches, organisers and volunteers in the run-up to the event;

    – organisation of the event;

    – organisation of side-activities to the sporting event (conferences, seminars);

    – implementation of legacy activities (evaluations, drafting of future plans);

    – communication activities linked to the topic of the event.

    -For the European local events (Type I and II) the activities must take place in each EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme involved in the Not-for-profit European Sport Event.

    -For the European-wide event, the activities must take place in the country of establishment of the applicant organisation.

    Activities not eligible under this action

    – sport competitions regularly organised by international, European or national sport federations/leagues;

    – professional sport competitions.

     

    Eligible applicant must

    – be legal entities (public or private bodies)

    – be established in EU Member State or third country associated to the Programme.

    – be active in the field of sport

    – public body in charge of sport at local, regional or national level;

    – sport organisation at local, regional, national, European or international level;

    – coordinator of a national event organised in the framework of a European event in the field of sport.

    – a National Olympic Committee or National Sport confederation.

     

    Eligible events and participants

    -European local events: At least one event per country.

    Type I: from a minimum of 3 organisations coming from 3 different eligible countries to a maximum of 5 organisations coming from 5 different eligible countries.

    Type II: a minimum of 6 organisations coming from 6 different eligible countries.

    -European-wide events: one event with at least 10 participating organisations from at least 10 different eligible countries (including the applicant organisation)

     

    Duration of the project

    12 or 18 months , based on the objective of the project and on the type of activities foreseen over time.. 

    Maximum grant awarded

    – 200.000 EUR for the European-local event (Type I)

    – 300.000 EUR for the European-local event (Type II)

    – 450.000 EUR for the European-wide event. 

     

    Deadline

    Applications should be submitted to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency by 5 March 2024, 17:00 Brussels time, for projects starting on 1 November of the same year.
