publié le

Blue Europe is excited to announce the 2024-2025 « Denis de Rougemont » contest, celebrating the legacy of the Swiss thinker and advocate for European unity, Denis de Rougemont. Known for his cultural and political theories, de Rougemont’s work emphasized the importance of diversity, dialogue, and shared values in the European integration process.

The contest encourages Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral students, as well as recent graduates from the EU and EEA, to submit papers that foster a deeper understanding of the relationships between Western, Central, and Eastern Europe. Participants from Western Europe are invited to explore topics related to industrial, political, and cultural exchanges with Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), while scholars from CEE are encouraged to reflect on their region’s unique identity and contributions to the European project. Winning submissions will be featured on Blue Europe’s website, offering participants an opportunity to gain visibility and contribute to critical discussions about Europe’s future.

In addition to publication, participants will compete for cash prizes, with €1,000 awarded to the top article and €500 to the runner-up. Articles will be judged on originality, depth of analysis, and relevance to Blue Europe’s mission of promoting cross-regional understanding. With a focus on academic excellence, the contest offers a unique platform for young scholars to showcase their work and contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding European unity and cooperation.
