This is an EU grant to organise European Voluntary Service activities (involving at least 30 EVS volunteers) in the framework of European or worldwide events in the field of youth, culture and sport including conferences, seminars, meetings and workshops.

This action gives financial support to any public body or non-profit organisation, established in a Programme Country, or having concluded a formal written cooperation agreement with the event organisers. A large-scale European Voluntary Service event consists of three stages: preparation, implementation of the European Voluntary Service activities and complementary activities and follow up.

The project must take place in the Programme Country where the European/international event is held:
– 28 Member States of the European Union;
– Non EU Programme countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Certain activities are not eligible under this action: e.g. occasional, unstructured, part-time volunteering; a work placement in an enterprise; a paid job; a recreation or tourist activity; a language course; exploitation of a cheap workforce; a period of study or vocational training abroad.

The duration of the project should be between 3 and 12 months.
The maximum grant awarded is 200 000 EUR.

The activity should last between 14 days and 2 months, excluding travel time, involving minimum 30 volunteers from 17 to 30 years old, from a Programme Country (except the country where the project is taking place) or from a Partner Country neighbouring the EU: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Territory of Ukraine as recognised by international law, Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Territory of Russia as recognised by international law.

Volunteers can only take part in one large-scale EVS project during the lifetime of the Erasmus+ Programme.

Organisations should submit applications to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency  by 5 April 2017, 12:00 midday CET, for projects starting between 1 October of the same year and 31 July of the following year.
