UNICEF Internships

The UNICEF Internship Programme provides students with practical experience in UNICEF’s work. UNICEF is active in three main areas: Programme and Policy, External Relations, and Operations. Read more about these areas here.  

 

Eligibility

To qualify for an internship, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD programme within the past two years.
  • Be minimum 18 years old.
  • Be proficient in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages: English, French or Spanish.
  • Demonstrate excellent academic performance and have no immediate relatives working at UNICEF.
  • Additional consideration will be given to any past professional experience.

 

Allowance

Trainees receive a monthly allowance.
