
UN Young Leaders for the SDGs
Launched by the United Nations the Young Leaders for the SDGs initiative selects 17 exceptional young individuals every two years who are leading efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Who can apply
Young people from 15 to 35 years old, from around the world, leading positive change towards a sustainable future.
How does it work
As a Young Leader for the SDGs in the 2025-2027 cohort, you will have the opportunity to:
- Actively represent the Young Leaders for the SDGs initiative by engaging in
- Participate virtually and/or in-person at select events.
- Serve as a youth advocate.
- Create and share compelling content.
- Collaborate with the UN and partners on key initiatives.
- Access a global platform, capacity-building opportunities, and travel.
Conditions
The function is honorary, non-remunerated and does not entail speaking on behalf of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth or the United Nations.
