Internships at FAO

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Internship Programme offers students and recent graduates a unique opportunity to combine their academic knowledge with practical experience in agriculture, food, and related fields.

 

Interns will

  • Work on real-world projects alongside experts in agriculture, food security, and more.
  • Contribute to FAO’s global mission of ending hunger and malnutrition.
  • Work in a multicultural environment and network with professionals from around the world.

 

Eligibility

  • Nationals of FAO member countries
  • Students enrolled in a relevant degree programme (undergraduate or graduate) or recent graduates (aged 21-30)
  • Working knowledge of at least one FAO official language (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian)
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer skills
  • Ability to adapt to an international environment
  • Have appropriate residence or immigration status in the country of assignment prior to the start of the internship assignment.

 

Duration

The internship assignment is between 3 and 11 months.

Intern receives a stipend in local currency (not exceeding 700 USD).
