FARE Small Grants
The FARE – Football Against Racism in Europe network co-ordinates action against racism in and around football stadiums across Europe. Each year they organise an action week where football fans, ethnic minorities and football clubs will stand united against discrimination. This year it will take place between 7 and 21 October 2021.
FARE provides small-grants to grassroots organisations such as supporters groups, community groups, NGOs and activists to help them run activities in their community, stadium, town or city during the Football People action weeks in October.
The pool of small grants aims to fund activities and events at local and regional level that tackle discrimination, promote social inclusion and use football to bring people from different communities together.
Activities should meet one or more of these objectives:
- Fight discrimination in football;
- Celebrate diversity in football;
- Improve the representation of minorities and women in football;
- Develop ideas and new practices that challenge exclusion;
- Use football as a tool for empowerment, social inclusion and education.
Proposed activities must stand against discrimination in football and promote the sport as a tool for inclusion.
Priority will be given to activities that actively involve and propel the inclusion and empowerment of migrants, ethnic minorities, refugees, asylum seekers, women, LGBT communities or disabled people.
Who can apply
Formal or informal groups or organisations that want to tackle discrimination in and through football.
The maximum funding through the Small Grants is €500.
Deadline: 5 September 2021.
