    EEA Photo Competition

    Launched by the European Environment Agency (EEA) the photo competition « ZeroWaste PiX » invites citizens from eligible countries, from 18 years old, to capture the unsustainable consumption and production patterns that threaten our well-being as well as the promising sustainable alternatives that are being explored on camera.

    Participants can submit photographs depicting any of the following four categories:

    1. Circular and smart
    2. Eco-lifestyles
    3. Wasteful production
    4. Consumption mania

     

    Eligibility
    Citizens of the following countries are eligible to enter the competition:
    – EU 27 Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Türkiye; under the stabilisation and association agreements: North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. 
     

    Prizes
    Competition winners will receive a cash prize of EUR 1,000 in each category and EUR 500 for the Public Choice award and the Youth Prize.
    The Youth Prize will be awarded to the winning entry, selected among those submitted by persons aged between 18 and 24 (born between calendar years 1999-2005, both included) to any of the four competition categories.
    All finalists will be put forward for the Public Choice Award and may also feature in future digital and print material from the EEA and its European partners.

    The public vote will run from 24 October to 7 November 2023.

     

    Entrants may submit up to five entries by 3 October 2023, 23:59 CEST.
