European Youth Event 2021

Every two years, the European Youth Event (EYE) brings together thousands of young people from all over the European Union and beyond to shape and share their ideas on the future of Europe. The 2021 edition will take place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg (France) on 8-9 October.

To make sure that young people from all over Europe are able to come to Strasbourg, the European Parliament has launched a call for youth groups to receive a financial contribution to their travel and accommodation costs. As the EYE2021 programme is co-created with young people, the European Parliament also launched a call for activity proposals.

Active and engaged groups of young people are invited to participate in EYE2021! They must be residents of the European Union, a candidate country, or the UK.
They must be between 16 and 30 years old by the date of the event (8-9 October 2021) with the exception of the group leader, who can be older than 30, but must be at least 18 years old.
A minimum of 10 and maximum of 20 persons per group can be sponsored. However, the financial contribution can also be used for accompanying visitors of the group, under the same conditions as for sponsored visitors. Groups will receive a financial contribution to their travel and accommodation costs.
They will be selected on the basis of their engagement and the unique perspective they bring to the event.
Groups with disabilities or coming from rural or remote areas, or from a disadvantage socio-economic background will be prioritised.
Due to the COVID-related restrictions, the number of participants allowed in Strasbourg is limited and applications meeting the above criteria will be treated on a first-come first-served basis.

Fill in the application form and apply by 2 June 2021.

Young people are invited to propose an interactive/workshop or artistic activity!
In order to participate, applicants need to be between 16 and 30 years old by the date of the event with the exception of the head of the group (who can be older then 30, but must be at least 18 years old) and be from the European Union, a candidate country or the UK.
The activity can be organised in English, French or German.
The best selected proposals may receive a financial contribution from the European Parliament to cover some expenses.

Fill in the application form and submit your activity by 2 June 2021.

Registrations for individual participants are now open until 12 September at 23:59 CEST.
All young people aged between 16 and 30 years old can take part.
Participation at EYE2021 is free of charge, however participants need to arrange and cover their own travel and accommodation in Strasbourg, and be able to present a sanitary pass required by French authorities.
