
AU-EU Youth Action Lab Grants
The Youth Action Lab programme offers grants to support youth-led innovative projects tackling global challenges in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Representation, and Cooperation across Africa and Europe.
Cooperation Grants
These grants financially support youth organisations, particularly those representing marginalized youth, to engage in policy-making and cross-continental collaboration between Africa and Europe.
Aims
- Empower young people to become effective advocates for their rights and priorities by providing financial resources for policy work at local, national, and international levels.
- Offer training and resources to help youth understand how to engage with government institutions and influence policy as active citizens.
- Foster connections between youth organisations across Africa and Europe to promote intercultural dialogue and collaborative initiatives.
Who can apply
Youth-led organisations where young people (aged 18 to 35) are the decision-makers.
From European Union member states and one of these African countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia (Somaliland), Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.
At least one organisation in the applying consortium must have prior experience in collaborative projects.
Grant
50,000 EUR per consortium
Consortium requirement:
At least one African organisation and one European organisation.
Grant period:
May 2025 to April 2026 (if approved).
Deadline: 16 March 2025.
