The largest European association of law students, ELSA, offers law students and young legal professionals the opportunity to gain professional experience abroad through its Student Trainee Exchange Programme (STEP).

Internships take place in law firms, in-house legal departments, courts, governmental and non-governmental organizations within the European Union, and occasionally beyond its borders.

Conditions:

• Be a law student,
• Be a law graduate (whether currently practicing or not) or a young legal professional,
• Be a member of ELSA.

Some internships are paid, while others are not. If the internship is unpaid, accommodation and/or meals are generally provided.
