Make your voice heard
Want to get involved, express yourself or make your voice heard?
Here, you will find different projects that allow you to get involved and make your voice heard, in Luxembourg and internationally, on the topics that matter to you.
Unlike more “classic” experiences abroad, these initiatives are not focused on going to live abroad. Instead, they offer opportunities for active participation, either individually or in a group. You can get involved in projects, exchange with other young people, contribute to discussions or take concrete action on important topics.
The goal? To strengthen your civic engagement, develop your ideas and help promote the values of the European Union, such as solidarity, inclusion, democracy and youth participation.
What types of ptojects are available and where can you find them?
👉 Luxembourgish youth delegates
The Luxembourgish Youth Delegate to the United Nations programme allows you to represent the voice of young people in Luxembourg on the international stage. For 24 months, you get involved in topics such as human rights, equality, peace and development. The highlight of the programme is your intervention as a youth delegate at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, with around 10 days on site, as well as the opportunity to discover the representation in Geneva.
To apply, you must be between 18 and 30 years old, live in Luxembourg, speak French and English fluently, have a good spoken level of Luxembourgish and not be politically engaged.

The Youth Delegate to the European Union programme also gives you the opportunity to make young people’s voices heard at European level. For 18 months, you take part in the EU Youth Dialogue: you exchange with young people in Luxembourg, collect their ideas and represent them at three European conferences in different countries, around a common theme. To be eligible, you must be between 16 and 26 years old, live in Luxembourg, have a good command, both spoken and written, of at least one of the country’s official languages, and not be politically engaged.

Youth participation activities are projects that promote young people’s participation in democratic life and encourage exchanges with decision-makers. These projects may include virtual or in-person meetings, workshops, events, debates with decision-makers, youth consultations, awareness-raising campaigns on youth participation, or simulations of democratic institutions. They can take place in either a national or transnational context.
Young people aged 13 to 30 who live in the countries of the participating organisations may take part in a project. A local group must be present on site throughout the entire duration of the activity. Projects may last between 3 and 24 months.
