The European Commission, for the second consecutive year, is holding the EU-wide contest.
The 2018 edition of the Prize will have a particular focus on young people.
Tibor Navracsics, the European Commissioner for Education, Youth, Culture and Sport stated: “We need to bring the EU closer to young citizens in ways that inspire. I am pleased that the ‘Altiero Spinelli Prize for Outreach’ rewards quality works that enhance young people’s understanding of the EU and promote their engagement in the democratic processes that shape its future. Giving visibility and European level recognition to such initiatives will help us reach this goal.”
