World Nomads is inviting aspiring travel writers from any nationality to submit applications for its travel writing scholarship.
Entrants will have to write a 2,500 character story about a travel experience around one of the following themes:
– Making a local connection
– The last thing I expected
– A decision that pushed me to the edge.
They should also include a personal essay (1,500 character maximum) on why they should be chosen and what the opportunity means to them.
Three writers will win a 14-day travel-writing trip in Argentina with 1,000 USD spending money plus a free tour. They should be available to be in Argentina for 14 days between 7th and 21st May 2018.
They will also attend an intense 4-day workshop with professional writer and contributor to the New York Times and Outside magazine Tim Neville. The scholarships will also cover a round-trip airfare, travel insurance and 5 nights accommodation.
