Sport is fun, exciting and it brings people together. Sport is also based on fairness and respect – regardless of who you are and where you come from. This makes it a powerful tool for breaking barriers and building a more inclusive society.
The European Commission #BeInclusive EU Sport Awards will recognise organisations using the power of sport to increase social inclusion for disadvantaged groups.
Who can apply
Organisations established in the European Union, public or private, commercial or not-for-profit, that have successfully developed sport projects aimed at social inclusion of ethnic minorities, refugees, people with disabilities, youth
groups at-risk, or any other group that faces challenging social circumstances.
How to apply
Organisations will have to submit their projects, including digital material, like photos and videos (5 minutes maximum), to show their project in action.
They should also submit a written description of their project (3 pages maximum), including its mission and vision, showing how it meets the three evaluation criteria of the awards: impact, replicability and innovation.
Entry forms should be completed in English.
Three winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on 22 November in Brussels, Belgium, where the projects will be presented to an audience of sport inclusion experts and receive €10,000 each.
