The scholarship aims to encourage and promote women to excel in computing and technology, and become active role models and leaders. Applicants should be women students entering their final year of a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s or PhD programme or equivalent, in 2012/13, in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa. They should be studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics or a closely related technical field and have an excellent academic record.
The selected finalists will each receive a € 7,000 (or equivalent) scholarship for the 2011/12 academic year. In June 2012, they will also be invited to visit Google’s Engineering Centre in Zurich and have the chance to follow workshops and social activities.
Deadline: 1st February 2012.
