This scholarship is designed for students with disabilities who are pursuing university degrees in the field of computer science at a university anywhere in the European Union. The scholarship aims to help dismantle barriers that prevent students with disabilities from entering computing, encourage them to excel in their studies and become active role models and leaders in creating technology. Candidates should be at the final year of a Bachelor’s degree, or enrolled in a Master’s or PhD programme (or equivalent), in 2012/2013, be enrolled at a University in Europe, be citizens, permanent residents, and international students with disabilities studying at a University in Europe. The best candidates will each receive a 7,000 EUR (or equivalent) scholarship for the 2011/2012 academic year. In June 2012, they will be invited to visit a Google European office for an all-expenses-paid networking retreat.
Deadline to apply: 1 February 2012.
