Europe in my Region - Blog Contest

Launched by the European Commission, the contest is inviting bloggers, from 18 years old, to write and publish posts about any EU funded project and take the chance to win a journalist training and a trip to Brussels, Belgium.

Posts will be translated into English (if necessary), republished on the Commission website and promoted on social channels (Facebook, Twitter) using the #EUinmyRegion hashtag.

All posts will be judged by an independent jury. Their scores will be combined with the amount of web traffic and social shares each post receives to choose three Wwinners.
The web traffic and social shares will also be used to choose a fourth “People’s Choice” winner.

The four winners will be invited to Brussels to attend the European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC) from 9 to 12 October 2017 as fully accredited journalists.

Travel and accomodation costs will be covered. They will also receive a Mobile Journalism and storytelling training session on 8 October 2017.

Deadline: the competition closes once the 60th post has been checked and approved, or 27 June 2017.
