    Erasmus+Key Action2-Knowledge Alliances

    This is an EU grant for the development of transnational, structured and result-driven projects, between higher education institutions and business organisations. Knowledge Alliances are open to any discipline, sector and cross-sectoral cooperation. The partners share common goals and work together towards mutually beneficial results and outcomes.

    Knowledge Alliances projects should carry out activities that:
    – develop new, innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning;
    – stimulate entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial skills of students, academics and company staff;
    – facilitate the exchange, flow and co-creation of knowledge.

    Knowledge Alliances projects are transnational and involve minimum six independent organisations from at least three Programme Countries, out of which at least two higher education institutions and at least two enterprises.
    Projects should last between 2 and 3 years.
    Maximum EU contribution for a 2-year project: 700 000 EUR.
    Maximum EU contribution for a 3-year project: 1 000 000 EUR.

    Participating organisations can be any higher education institution, public or private, small, medium or large enterprise, research institute, organisation active in the field of education, training and youth, public or private organisation, established in a Programme Country:
    – 28 Member States of the European Union;
    Non EU Programme countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia;
    – or in any Partner Country of the world.

    Organisations established in a Programme Country should submit applications to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency  (EACEA) by 26 February 2016, 12:00 (midday Brussels time), for projects starting on 1 November of the same year or 1 January of the following year.

    Higher education institutions established in a Programme Country must hold a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE).
